We held a Creators Talk at the Forest CRAFT BAR.

A moment to connect with the stories of the producers and savor the local character of Shinshu in every sip.

On Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the fir tree plaza in the Karuizawa Hoshino area,Forest CRAFT BAR | Creators TalkWe held the event. Many customers participated on the day, and advance registration was fully booked, demonstrating the high level of interest.

At the venue, we welcomed Mr. Takanori Yoda, the sixth-generation owner of Fuyo Sake Brewery; Mr. Tokuaki Ide of Totsuka Sake Brewery; Ms. Arisa Ueno of TŌGE; and Mr. Hayato Arai, brewer at Yo-Ho Brewing. Under the guidance of facilitator Ms. Shiori Yui, they spoke about their thoughts on craftsmanship, their connections with the local community, and the inspirations they receive from nature. The venue became a place where producers and participants could share the same time and savor the stories behind each cup of sake.

"Why did you choose this particular scent?" "How do you express the unique characteristics of the region in each cup?"
While learning about backgrounds that are not usually known, the participants listened attentively to the stories behind the aromas and flavors. After the talk, they were seen asking questions directly to the speakers and enjoying conversations over drinks.

Through a drink created by Shinshu's craft beverage producers—including beer, gin, spirits, and syrups—we offered guests a taste of Karuizawa's nature and local culture.

Please note that the limited-edition drinks, including the "Forest Beer Cocktail," will continue to be sold at "Cafe Hungry Spot" even after the event ends. When you visit Karuizawa, please stop by and enjoy a moment in the forest while experiencing the passion of the brewers and the flavors nurtured by the nature of Shinshu. (*Drinks will be available while supplies last.)

In the Karuizawa Hoshino area, we will continue to work with local creators to deliver programs that allow visitors to experience the charm of nature and culture.
