How about a winter-only experience where you walk through the winter forest and create your own original wreath using nature's bounty?
Picchio is hosting a tour called "Forest Walk and Wreath Making with Forest Fragments - Enjoying Winter Time with a Nature Guide," where participants will take a walk through the winter forest with a nature guide and then create a wreath using pine cones, nuts, twigs, and other materials.
Since children as young as 4 years old can participate, it's also recommended for families who want to enjoy making things together with their children.
First, we'll take a stroll around the Wild Bird Forest Visitor Center with a nature guide. We'll get to know the forest's nature while observing the winter activities of plants and animals.
After the walk, participants can create wreaths in a warm indoor setting. They can decorate their wreaths with "fragments of the forest" that Picchio's staff have collected in the woods, such as pine cones, mistletoe, nuts, and twigs, according to their own preferences.
The finished wreath can be taken home along with an original card featuring a gentle illustration depicting the story behind the materials used.
Capture the beauty of nature found in the winter forest and transform it into a wreath to brighten your life. Why not spend a special winter moment in Karuizawa with your family and friends?
