The colorful fabrics were dyed with natural materials harvested in Nagano Prefecture. From the yellow of the spicebush that heralds spring, to the delicate azalea, and the pale purple of the Japanese anemone that blooms in the summer forest, the fabrics, imbued with the stories of Karuizawa's wildflowers, create a beautiful gradient. By re-dyeing the fabrics that were also displayed last year, they have gained more depth and a softer texture.

A nature tour of Picchio"A leisurely stroll through the forest during the rainy season"

Join Picchio for a leisurely stroll along the riverside promenade, enjoying the aromatic scents of plants and observing the wildflowers. We'll also introduce you to some great photo spots along the river, and finally, enjoy a herbal tea blended with wild plants at Ikaru Cafe. This approximately 40-minute tour starts at Harunire Terrace and follows the river to Ikaru Cafe at the entrance to the Wild Bird Forest. Enjoy this tour even in rainy weather.
