This summer, you can once again enjoy a refreshing "foot bath" at the larch-lined hill next to Tonbo-no-Yu hot spring, a uniquely Karuizawa way to experience coolness. The Hoshino area is surrounded by forest and blessed with abundant spring water, making it a place where you can feel cool even in summer. Why not cool off with a "foot bath" after strolling around the area or after a soak at Tonbo-no-Yu?

A new footbath infused with the scent of cypress wood is now available.

The footbath used for the "Dragonfly Footbath" will be refurbished this year to be filled with the scent of cypress wood. It is approximately 6 meters long and can accommodate up to 18 people at the same time. The gentle slope of the larch hill is used to continuously flow spring water from the bird sanctuary, which is about 13℃.

We're releasing our "Forest Soda," which lets you taste the forest, again this year.

Cafe Hungry Spot will be selling a non-alcoholic cocktail called "Forest Soda," which will let you feel and taste the forests of Karuizawa. It is made by distilling the fragrances of five types of trees (larch, red pine, fir, Japanese cypress, and Japanese cypress) to condense the blessings of nature. After cooling off in the footbath, you can enjoy a moment enveloped in the scent of the forest.
