The Karuizawa Hoshino Area and Shinano Railway's year-round collaboration project, "A Gourmet Cruise that Weaves the Seasons, Summer Edition," will feature a breakfast menu showcasing popular items from Harunire Terrace. This one-day-only plan allows passengers to enjoy the magnificent summer scenery unfolding outside the train windows, along with a hands-on experience in Shinshu Kumiko, a traditional craft of Shinshu.

We will be offering a special breakfast exclusively for this event. The main course is CERCLE wine & deli's hearty "Special Roast Beef Sandwich" and "Cauliflower Soup" that makes the most of the natural sweetness of the ingredients. For dessert, you can enjoy Izumiya Denbei's "Karuizawa Pudding Silky Melt-in-Your-Mouth" or seasonal "Peach Fruit". After your meal, we will serve Maruyama Coffee's "Harunire Terrace Blend". Enjoy the flavors that each shop has put its heart and soul into, along with the summer scenery outside the window.

Enjoy traditional craft experiences in your car

The Yukimura course offers an exclusive opportunity to experience making chopstick rests using the traditional craft of "Shinshu Kumiko" (wood latticework). With a craftsman accompanying you, the time spent witnessing the intricate technique of assembling wood without using nails is a luxurious moment that will satisfy your intellectual curiosity.

Shinano Railway sightseeing train "Rokumon"

Launched in 2014 as a "train packed with local charm," it travels slowly while offering magnificent views of Mount Asama. Its distinctive features include a warm, woody design that makes extensive use of Nagano Prefecture timber, and carriages inspired by the "red armor" of the Sanada clan.
