Walking through the moist forest, you can encounter aspects of nature that you would not normally notice. On this tour, available only in June, you will stroll along the riverside promenade with Picchio as your guide, enjoying the aromatic scent of plants and observing the flowers through a magnifying glass. You will also be introduced to photo spots along the riverside, and at the end, you will enjoy herbal tea blended with wild grasses at Ikaru Cafe. Enjoy a moment in the rainforest with all five senses.

This tour starts at Harunire Terrace and takes about 40 minutes to walk along the river to Ikaru Cafe at the entrance to the Wild Bird Forest. It can be enjoyed even in rainy weather.

Experience nature with all five senses

It is about 800m from Harunire Terrace to Ikaru Cafe. If you walk with a guide, the familiar nature will come into view more clearly. You will get to experience nature with all your senses as you peer at the moss and flowers through a magnifying glass, feel the texture and scent of the leaves, and more.

The aroma is similar to that of the oil palm. The refreshing citrus scent of the Japanese kokusagi. The minty coolness of the kakidooshi. As you listen to the scents of the plants, you will also encounter the mysteries of nature, such as "Why does it smell?" and "What kind of plant is it?"

To conclude the tour, enjoy a cup of forest herbal tea at Ikaru Cafe. Enjoy the "Forest Herbal Tea" which is a carefully blended Japanese wild plants such as persimmon, mulberry, bamboo grass, dandelion, pine, and elm tree, with a gentle fragrance and subtle sweetness. The flowers and plants you have smelled during your walk and the time you spent savoring them will remain in your memory.
