The Karuizawa forests are changing color, and the weather is gradually getting chilly. Why not enjoy knitting together while warming up with a hot drink during this season? Spending time working with your hands while chatting with fellow craft lovers is sure to deepen your enjoyment of autumn.

"Forest Knit Cafe" is a place where people gather with yarn and enjoy knitting while chatting. Even if you feel like giving up alone, if you get together with other knitting enthusiasts, you might be able to do it! Both beginners and veterans are welcome to join us. Let's have a great time.

Plant-dyed yarn, recommended for knitting beginners

We offer soft, plant-dyed yarn from the Kirishita Weaving Studio in Karuizawa, which creates works using yarn made from natural materials and natural dyes.

*The yarn in the center of the photo is wool dyed with madder. One ball of this yarn is enough to knit the stole in the back.

We will lend you knitting needles along with a knitting pattern so that even beginners can easily get started with knitting. We will provide two types of yarn: wool and silk wool. Both have natural colors and a light texture, and are characterized by a comfortable feel. You can purchase one stole for 1,500 yen (including the knitting pattern).
