It's happening again this year! Karuizawa Forest Piano: A piano for everyone to play!

As autumn approaches in September, the "Karuizawa Forest Piano" event will once again be held, filling the plaza within the Hoshino area, surrounded by nature, with beautiful melodies. New events will be added, creating an even more diverse and harmonious soundscape.

Piano for everyone that anyone can play and listen to

In this open and airy space, the forest piano is a place where anyone can freely play and listen. We welcome everything from masterful performances that elicit sighs of admiration to the heartwarming melodies played by young children with just one finger. Why not experience the comforting feeling of sound spreading out into nature?

A place where people can loosely connect

The Hoshino area aims to be a place where people can connect with each other in a relaxed way and feel enriched. It connects those who live in Karuizawa and those who visit, those who are here and those who aren't, and those who play the piano and those who don't. The sound of the forest piano connects people.

Until around 12:00 PM on all days, the performance time will be reserved for those participating in the "Hoshino Community Base" programs ("Forest Recital," "First Time Piano Duet," "Forest Rehearsal").

・In case of rain, the event will be postponed to the following day.
・We will announce on this page by 10am on the day whether the event will be held or not.
・Please note that the event may be cancelled due to rain even during the event.

・Please limit performances to about 1 minutes. Please be considerate of others when using the venue.
・Piano + 1 instrument performance or solo singing is permitted. * Ensembles, choruses, and electronic instruments are not permitted.
・Please be considerate of those around you when taking photos etc.
