Picchio, a guide to the wildlife of the forest, is hosting a short tour themed around the colors of autumn, where you can slowly enjoy the small wonders of nature that are often overlooked, engaging all your senses. The tour starts at Harunire Terrace and lasts approximately 40 minutes, walking along a stream-side promenade with a nature guide.

As we gaze upon the leaves of elm and lacquer trees, whose colors are tinged by the autumn breeze, we unravel the mysteries of the forest, wondering "why do they turn such beautiful colors?" We also enjoy searching for nuts and squirrel feeding traces at our feet, and comparing the colors with traditional Japanese hues. Walking with a guide reveals a slightly different perspective of the forest than you might expect. At the end of the tour, you will create a "memory bookmark" using your favorite leaves.
