[Event Report] Heartwarming, Handcrafted Time - Forest Knit Cafe

Winters in Karuizawa are very cold, and knitted hats and scarves are a necessity. Since last year, we have been holding the "Forest Knit Cafe" with the hope that everyone can enjoy a fun and fulfilling time knitting together during this season. Due to popular demand, we held the first event this year on November 29th.

This year, we invited Kirishita Weaving Studio in Karuizawa to provide us with plant-dyed yarn. All of the yarns are soft and light, with a charming texture that makes you feel relaxed when you hold them in your hands.

Many people participated on the day, including those who were trying knitting for the first time. With their favorite yarn in hand, participants freely created what they wanted to knit, and the conversation flowed naturally. It was impressive to see people who were meeting for the first time interacting warmly with each other, teaching each other how to knit and showing each other the colors of their yarn.

The Forest Knit Cafe was a fusion of yarn born from the bounty of nature and the warm interactions between participants. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who participated and to Kirishita Weaving Studio for their support.

The next event will be held on December 26th, and in 2026 on January 31st, February 27th, and March 14th. Beginners are also welcome, so please come and join us.
