Wagyu beef hotpot with Japanese pepper
This hot pot features fatty Wagyu beef, fragrant mushrooms, and seasonal vegetables. After a quick shabu-shabu, it is garnished with Japanese pepper. The refreshing aroma and just the right amount of spiciness bring out the umami of the Wagyu beef.
Throwing soba noodles
This is a local Shinshu dish in which soba noodles are "thrown" into a broth that has the flavor of a variety of mushrooms and meatballs dissolved into it, and then heated. This is a specialty hot pot at Sonmin Shokudo that takes a little extra effort to prepare and enjoy.
