[Reasons for choosing Hoshino Resorts]

I'm Sakura Henmi from the bridal costume and beauty unit at Hotel Bleston Court. I joined the company in April 2025, so this is my second year.

Since I'm from Nagano Prefecture, I used to visit Karuizawa with my family when I was little, and I also attended a wedding there once, which sparked my strong desire to have a wedding in Karuizawa. My family works in the beauty industry, so I had already decided to pursue a career in beauty, but I went to a vocational school in Tokyo, and I saw an advertisement for Karuizawa Kogen Church on the train. That's where I learned about the Christmas Candle Night, and after actually participating in the Candle Night, I developed a strong admiration for Karuizawa Kogen Church.

Currently, I am in charge of preparing brides and grooms for their wedding ceremonies at Karuizawa Kogen Church and Atoishi Church. The time spent preparing them is a very fulfilling and enjoyable time for me, as I enjoy chatting with them while beautifully finishing their look. I always keep in mind the responsibility of being entrusted with such an important event as a wedding, and I always strive to create an atmosphere that will ease any tension before the ceremony. The moments when they say "I look cute" when they look in the mirror, or when they say "thank you" directly to me, make me truly happy and I feel that this job is my calling. Trends are constantly changing, so I am always working hard to improve my skills in order to keep up with the latest trends.

One of its distinguishing features, in my opinion, is the solid support system it provides leading up to their debut.

For example, we spend about four months training to prepare the groom, and about ten months training before debuting to do the bride's makeup. Even after debuting, we work in pairs with a senior colleague, so we can receive feedback from our senior colleague after the preparation is complete. I think we have a solid support system in place even after you debut.

How to spend your holidays

On my days off, I often enjoy the nature that Nagano Prefecture has to offer. I really love Kamikochi, so I sometimes hike for about an hour to Myojin Pond. Being surrounded by nature is a very relaxing experience for me.

Also, there are three people in the same unit who started at the same time as me, and we're all really close. We can talk about anything, so when our days off coincide, we go on trips together, and after work we go out for meals. We get along really well. The time I spend with the three of us is very refreshing and a lot of fun.
