The appeal of Nagano/Karuizawa for people from Nagano Prefecture
Moderator: Thank you. Both of you mentioned the keyword "nature," but what about you, Aoki and Sato, who are from Nagano Prefecture?
Aoki-san: Yes, I agree with what you two said. You have a very strong love for nature. I love nature too, so I feel the same way.
Moderator: So, even though you all live in Nagano, nature is still a positive thing about it?
Aoki-san: Well, I wonder if there is just the right amount of nature. I lived in Tokyo during my university days, but sometimes when I want to take a break or relax, I feel like seeing some natural scenery. At those times, I realized that Nagano Prefecture, where I spent my youth, was just the right amount of nature in that sense, and I was able to confirm this.
Moderator: So, rather than planning to continue living in the Kanto region, you'd like to return to your hometown and find a comfortable environment.
Aoki-san: Yes, that's true. At the moment, that's the way I feel. It might change a bit in terms of my career, but that's how I feel right now.
Moderator: Mr. Sato, you are from Nagano Prefecture, but where did you go when you were a student?
Sato-san: I lived in Nagano until high school, but then I went to Okinawa for university.
Moderator: The environment has changed completely.
Sato-san: Yes, it's completely different. Well, Okinawa has its own unique nature, but Nagano has four seasons, so you can't see snow in Okinawa. I really miss the snow, and I really feel that Nagano's nature is great because it has four seasons.
Moderator: It really has to do with the environment, or the land. I was thinking as I listened that the distinctive features are what really hooked you all, but I'd like to break it down into a few areas and ask you about them. First, I'd like to ask you about what you did when you were a student looking for a job, which may have been a year or two ago.
